Welcome to the Official website of the San Diego Council of Bass Clubs. Your source for information on the local area bass clubs.
The San Diego Council of Bass Clubs (SDCBC) is a freshwater bass fishing organization in San Diego, California. Our goal is to promote all things that benefit the Freshwater Bass Fishery in San Diego.
The Council was formed in 1976 and now has a membership of fourteen freshwater bass fishing clubs. The clubs in the council are from San Diego County, Western Riverside County and North County.
We hold two major tournaments a year. The Top-Six tournament and the Tournament of Champions. The top six anglers in each of our member Bass Clubs compete in the Top-6 Tournament which is a one day tournament. This tournament is held in October. The Tournament of Champions, our most prestigious tournament, has the Angler of the Year from each Bass Club in the Council competing in a two day tournament in March.
The SDCBC has been instrumental in contributing to several milestones:
The SDCBC is active in the community supporting charities such as Crisis House and the Warrior Foundation Freedom Station. The Council also supports a number of local sporting events such as Fishing in the Pines, Crisis House Kids of Domestic Violence annual fishing day and Fishing Musician Kids fishing program.
Our Purpose is to present a unified voice to the City Council, State and National Officials and others where necessary in the presentation of the views of the organized Bass Fishing Clubs of the San Diego Council of Bass Clubs.
