2024 Top Six Tournament

This year's Top Six tournament will be held on Saturday, September 21st, at El Capitan.  Eleven clubs will be participating.  Club fees are $400 and were due at the August meeting.  Clubs must submit angler names, ages, and signed release of liability forms at the September 4th meeting. All boats in the tournament must have proper liability insurance with them during the tournament.  

We will follow the official SDCBC tournament rules.  Launch will be at safe light.  There will be three flights, and weigh-in times are 1:30pm, 1:45pm, and 2:00pm.  It will be a drive-through weigh-in.  An awards presentation will follow the weigh-in with trophies for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams and big fish for the tournament.  Family and friends are welcome to attend.  Food will be provided (tacos), and there will be a raffle for fishing gear and gift cards.  All raffle proceeds will support the SDCBC and our preferred charities.​

​2024 Tournament of Champions

​Congratulations to Jesse Hinkley of Bass Company for winning the 2024 Tournament of Champions at Lake San Vicente on March 2, 2024.  His total weight of 19.02 lbs gave him significant lead over second place.  Jesse also caught a 4.73 lb bass, the tournament's biggest fish.  Herman De La Garza of North County Bass placed second, and Larry Ward of San Diego Bassmasters finished third.


​2023 Top-six Champions

Congratulations to North County Bass for winning the 2023 Top-Six tournament at Lake Otay on September 16, 2023.  The winning team members were Herman De La Garza, Michael Mclernon, Ralph Huberts, Nick Adkins, Gary Andrews, and Chris Mitchell.  They had a total weight of 34.1 lbs and an 11.08 lb big fish caught by Nick Adkins.  San Diego Bassmasters placed second, and RoadRangers finished third.
